The label on Lollipop is dark blue, including text and visuals of lollipops in pink, white and light blue. The Thai Lime & Mango candle features a design of leaves and fruits in black, white and gold that Imperial Candles uses for a variety of their candles. The Midnight Jasmine candle also included this design of label.
Burning the Candles
Right after I finished appreciating the packaging and the labels, it was time to burn the candles! Some citrus brings it a little zest, and a note of “coolness” in the aroma comes from the surprising dash of peppermint.
While I began burning this very first jewel candle, my sister barged into my room, going, “What IS that?” It was immediate, head-over-heels infatuation. In fact, she asked to be present when I burned the next two candles I purchased. Even before the very first one had even burned down sufficiently to reveal my secret jewellery, she had already made her very first order for Imperial Candles!
The next one I burned was Thai Lime & Mango. The aroma was uplifting, stimulating, and clarifying – great for studying or working on projects.
Everyone who knows me knows that I am obsessed with jasmine: jasmine perfume, jasmine tea, jasmine soap – I have it all. The heady fragrance of jasmine in Midnight Jasmine is underscored with a trace of rose. Midnight Jasmine had exactly the kind I can’t get enough of.
All three scents I tested were beautiful. And like my sister, I now would like to try them all!

Finding My Hidden Jewellery Surprises!
Almost all Imperial Candles hide surprise jewels worth as much as ₤2,000. I went with a ring in my Lollipop candle and a pair of earrings in my Thai Lime & Mango candle.
While burning Lollipop, I was so anxious since I didn’t know for how long I’d need to wait to uncover my jewellery. Around the 20-hour mark (a few nights in, in other words), I finally saw a glimpse of the foil (the jewellery is wrapped up in foil to keep the wax off of it). The ring I received is just as beautiful as the earrings – and by total coincidence, it happens to match. It is without a doubt worth ₤30, and I am happy to report that it does fit! I’ve received a lot of compliments on both, particularly when I use them at the same time.
Thankfully, I’d ordered the same ring size in this candle as I did in the other, so I knew it’d fit. That meant I could delight in the candle burning down without any anxiety – just excitement at what it would reveal!
